Steel Product Output

Crude steel output in the first half of the year fell 3.0% year-over-year, with output rebounding in June after a decline.

In the first half of 2026, China’s crude steel output totaled 499.95 million metric tons, down 3.0% year-over-year; however, output rebounded in June, and value added in the manufacturing and ferrous metal smelting sectors continued to grow.
