Recently, the wide plate production line at Henan Iron and Steel Group's Zhoukou Base achieved a significant technological breakthrough—the world's widest and Henan Province's first double-sided split shear successfully completed its inaugural cutting operation, simultaneously trimming edges and splitting Q345qD bridge steel plates. The commissioning of this equipment marks a new milestone for the Zhoukou Base in high-precision, high-efficiency shearing technology, providing robust assurance for the efficient delivery of premium wide plate products.
As the industry's leading intelligent shearing equipment, this double-sided splitting shear employs automated precision control to simultaneously complete the edge trimming and splitting of bridge steel plates measuring 16mm × 3860mm × 13650mm. It divides the plate into two sections—1700mm and 1800mm wide—yielding a total width of 3500mm. Its core technological innovation lies in integrating the edge trimming and splitting processes, significantly reducing steel plate turnaround time on the production line and boosting overall efficiency. Additionally, the equipment delivers high-precision dimensional control, producing flat cuts with minimal burrs and narrow width tolerances.
