"Green Steel" Goes Global Faster: 17 Guangxi Steel Products Pass SCS Kingfisher Certification

Recently, Guangxi Iron and Steel Group (Liugang Fangchenggang Base) announced that 17 product grades across its three production lines (galvanizing, continuous annealing, and pickling) at its cold rolling mill have successfully passed the Kingfisher certification from the US Global Scientific Certification System (SCS). This marks another key breakthrough for Liugang Group in its green and low-carbon transformation, adding significant weight to its efforts to enter the international market.

Established by SCS in 1990, the Kingfisher Certification aims to rigorously monitor the entire product manufacturing process and provide an authoritative and credible environmental label. Currently, this certification has been adopted by numerous international automakers and high-end building material buyers as a crucial entry requirement for green supply chains.

The 17 certified product grades all have a scrap steel ratio of 30% in the smelting process, which significantly improves the resource recycling value of each ton of steel, helps reduce carbon emissions throughout the entire life cycle, expands the "green premium" space of products, and further enhances international competitiveness.

Successfully obtaining the US SCS Kingfisher certification represents a significant breakthrough for Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group's "4+X" high-end product cluster in its high-end and green development process.
